This Thursday we welcome a special celestial event. A solar eclipse happens when the rays of the sun are blocked by the Moon. Although this one will not be easily visible, eclipses have traditionally been considered as messengers of great change. Essentially, an eclipse is a wake up call, and the details are unveiled through the promises and challenges of your natal chart. I have given you guidelines below on what to expect.
Is it Time for an Astro*Tune UP?
Do YOU know how and where this eclipse activates your astrological profile? If not, consider scheduling a consultation. The listing in this article details how you might experience the effects of this eclipse based on how and where the zodiacal sign of Taurus is in your natal chart. If you don’t know – consider consulting a qualified astrologer to help you realize the full potential of this event.
Part of the big deal about eclipses is that since ancient times, they have been associated with the fall of nations as well as seismic activity.
As far back as 2154 B. C it was a criminal offense for an astronomer to neglect to notify the rulers of an approaching eclipse. It was an annular solar eclipse in April of 1912 that preceded the outbreak of the Balkan War, which was destined to be the precursor of World War I. And, on the heels of a solar eclipse on May 7th, 1902 when Mont Pele erupted, engulfing the island of Martinique.
As I mentioned in earlier newsletters, each eclipse is categorized as a member of an eclipse family with specific characteristics. The eclipses of May 2013 are regarded as bringing about the release of lingering tensions although there may be some concurrent grief or loss on the part of a group or collective.
In my research I found two nations having significant planetary placements in the mid-degrees of Taurus, the United Kingdom and Cuba; it will be interesting to watch and see if there are significant changes in either of these two nations in the upcoming months. I predict a significant change in the tone of leadership for both countries.
Sometimes events and issues associated with eclipses often arrive early. For example, the city incorporation chart of Boston, (July 23, 1630) has Pluto at 23 degrees of Taurus, easily within the orb of influence of our upcoming solar eclipse at 20 Taurus.
There is nothing you can do to out maneuver societal events, however, you can do everything about how you manage your personal life. Think of an eclipse as a wakeup call. With both Mercury and Mars engaged in this eclipse, we are in the midst of a powerful surge to consider (Mercury) the possibilities, and then to take action (Mars) in order to manifest (Taurus) a new yet stable way of being.
Are You Tired of the Same Old Stuff?
An eclipse opens doors into new, uncharted territory in your personal life. Your mission is to know how and where Taurus functions in your natal chart, and then to take steps to activate the cosmic opportunity being offered. And like a stopped up drain, the energy of an eclipse needs an open channel to flow through or else it will back up and cause problems. Life is delivering you a cornucopia of wonder and opportunity – are you ready to accept?
If not now, when?
Depending on where Taurus is in your chart, here are some of the ways this eclipse will impact your life:
(you can get your chart calculated at no cost HERE ; or, if you want more details, I invite you to call me and set up a private consultation)
Taurus in House 1 or 7 = this eclipse prompts you to establish a new foundation in your personal life as well as your relationships. It’s time to establish new habits that will nurture you for years to come. You will encounter people who feel familiar and who lend comfort to your life.
Taurus in House 2 or 8 = you are learning about power and control. As much as it may appear to be so, it’s not about anyone else. Your assignment is to validate yourself and to become strong enough to assist others. You are learning about the value of money and how it relates to the currency of soul energy.
Taurus in House 3 or 9 = you are being exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking. Something you always held as true may no longer respond to your old set of guidelines. An old belief can be one of the most difficult things to change. Go radical, yet maintain contact with your true heart.
Taurus in House 4 or 10 = it’s time for a new image – the old one is finally worn out. If married, you may find yourself ready to try something different; if single, think about whether or not you want to stay that way. Your social and personal foundations are up for reorganization; enjoy the ride.
Taurus in House 5 or 11 = calling your birds of a feather. You need to find those people who resonate with you. Some of you will come to the realization that the old labels just don’t fit anymore. It’s time to reinvent yourself and unleash your inner genius; even if it looks more like a mad scientist.
Taurus in House 6 or 12 = all systems GO. You can work behind the scenes now to establish a new foundation for success. Not all you do will be visible to others; but pay no heed to the voice behind the curtain. You need to be a hard working mountain climber now, so, get your gear on board and start on the journey.
