Taurus Full Moon

Monday the 29th we welcome a Full Moon in the sign of Taurus.
(Read your November horoscope HERE)

Taurus is noted as a fertile earth sign. Although sometimes stubborn, the secret to Taurus is that there is great staying power – but like a long, heavy freight train, Taurus just has to get into motion. Once moving, it likes to keep going.

On Sunday the 28th, Venus takes leave of refined Virgo and moves into her luxurious home of Libra. In Libra, Venus relishes fine clothing, rich fabrics, and only the best will do. If you have been planning a wardrobe upgrade, the next 25 days will be your best time of the year to find just the perfect items.

Venus in Libra, combined with a Taurus Full moon says – shop till you drop. Oh, you may have a tendency to overspend, but – look for long lasting and high quality purchases. Jupiter is even retrograde now, so, if you are careful, you can hold onto your finances while fulfilling your desires.

Many have been wondering about Saturn having recently moved into Scorpio. As an intense water sign, Scorpio and Saturn can have a tendency to mix like water and oil. This becomes a problem when you try to sidestep the lessons coming your way.

What may feel like one step forward and two steps back can be positively handled by instead taking giant steps in the RIGHT direction. If something has been holding you back, now is the time to step over, not into – it. If you can’t overcome those old repeating problems – just put on a life jacket and swim to a new shore.

Wednesday the 31st brings us to All Hallows Eve – the night when the veil between the worlds is said to be the thinnest. Over 2000 years ago, the ancient Celts, who lived in the area that is now Ireland, Great Britain, and Northern France, celebrated November 1st as their New Year. Since this time of the year was the beginning of winter and colder, darker days, it was more closely associated with the other world than any other time of the year.

With the passing of time, the Roman Catholic Church eventually created “All Saints Day”, to be celebrated on November 2nd, and deemed it a day to pray for and honor those who had passed on.  The evening prior to “All Saints Day” or was still observed by many of the ancient people by leaving gifts of food outside their doors to appease the spirits.

Many people today do not realize that this is the tradition they are following when they give gifts of candy to the “ghosts and goblins” that come knocking on their doors on Halloween night.

So, if you think Saturn in Scorpio is scary, just think about what can happen when you open your door on Halloween.

Wishing you all the brightest light of Universe, and the patience of the Saints.

Wishing you the blessing of Light, and the freedom to fly.

It’s perfectly fitting that this Pisces moon is the second full moon of the month, because it illuminates repeating patterns – you know – that same old problem you have to solve over and over again. With this Full Moon of August 31st exactly conjunct Chiron, we are confronted by the places that need healing.  And, as the Full Moon peaks over the next 3 – 4 days, we are offered the time and space to make necessary adjustments

As shown by glyph for Pisces, two fish swimming in opposite directions, Pisces is also a sign of light and dark – or shadow. Many people have been made aware of their shadows in recent days. Even Mercury has been doing his job of bringing up shadow issues. Mercury went direct on August 7th, yet it was traveling through the shadow of its previous direct motion until August 22nd, the same day the Sun entered Virgo.

Shadows stay with you until confronted, and honored. And they linger and hurt until corrected. Always, your real life events will lead the way in unveiling what needs to be addressed.

Full Moon * July 3

The goat of Capricorn is actually part mermaid!

The Full Moon signals a time of fulfillment or completion. How does this concept apply to your life? Every year in midsummer, we have a Capricorn Full Moon – however this one is particularly poignant because this year Luna joins with the powerhouse of transformation, Pluto. With this combination, know that the changes will be deep and permanent. Some of you will experience this personally, but we all will be affected by decisions being made on the global level now.

The ancient image for Capricorn is a peculiar half goat, half mermaid type of creature. This image was meant to portray a land dwelling creature (humans) who were a part of, and fed by the waters which ran underneath the earth; the river of life. So, we humans are half walking and grounded, yet also half navigating and swimming through the seas of life.  The need to master both qualities is the ultimate challenge of Capricorn.

As rulers of the summer and winter solstices, the Cancer/Capricorn axis brings us to a shifting of seasons. When viewed from above the earth, the change is rapid and dramatic; the sun reaches his maximum northern or southern journey, and changes direction. In the course of a lifetime, the change may happen more slowly, but trust that the journey has reached a turning point.  The global financial situation has finally bottomed out, and we await the rebirth of a new structure based on sustainability. Cancer wants to feed all of her children, and Capricorn figures out a way to do it. Pluto stands ready to remove all that must be taken away in order for our world to be reborn.

Capricorn is truly the sign where the individual consciousness shifts into concern for the collective. By the end of this year and early into 2013, Saturn and Pluto travel in tandem through Scorpio and Capricorn, forming a long lasting sextile of opportunity. Although this shift of the ages feels harsh and is clothed in the fabric of need, trust that it will be brought forth as true provision for all. There is much power here, but, there is also heart. Like a true Capricorn, take this on with a foot in both worlds; stand your ground, but take action based on your emotional sensibilities.

555 and the State of the World * Scorpio Full Moon

The Full Moon we experience this evening is a perigee ‘super moon’, closer to the earth than average.

Not only does this May Full Moon bring us to Wesak,  the traditional celebration of the life and enlightenment of Buddha, it also lands in the 15 – 16th  degree of Scorpio, a portal known as ‘the Gate of the Avatar’.

The Avatar gates are found in the middle degrees of each of the fixed signs; Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio. The term ‘Avatar’ implies a fully free soul, incarnating directly from God, and comes to earth to fulfill a highly spiritual task.

The symbology of 555 is a call for us to each become co-creators with Spirit. Five is a number of creativity, and manifesting form through play and intelligence. And, now that the Age of Aquarius has moved us beyond Saviors; we are all given the opportunity to save ourselves, and each other. The numerology of March 5, 2012, combined with our Scorpio Full Moon, lights up a significant gateway for empowerment and transformation.

March 5th has been declared ‘World Liberation Day’ by some; this is an appropriate call for action to infuse the number 5 into our essence. Kabbalah teaches that the fifth cycle of creation embodies the World of Action, or the Fruit, of the Tree of Life. In keeping with the astrological sign of Scorpio, the number 5 is considered as the mediator between God and the universe; an institution of free will choice, and the process of creation.

Here are a few facts about the number 5:

There are 5 major parts to the Tree of Life

Five is the numerical value of the Hebrew letter ‘HE’ representing the passive principle by excellence. (of Yah, He, Vav, He – the ‘I AM’ sequence that speaks thought into creation.) ‘HE’ represents “a solar ray of Universal Life pouring on the earth its beneficial rain of life.”  Manifestations of the Deity are expressed in five phases to form the Tree of Life:

1. Source or Seed–The Ain Soph Aur or Adam Kadmon

2. Root –World of Emanation of Atziluth

3. Tree –World of Creation or Briah

4. Branch –World of Formation or Yetzirah

5. Fruit –World of Action or Assiah

There are five oceans and five parts of the geographical world: Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Oceania. The five elements in Chinese theory are: water, fire, wood, metal, ground. Even computers get in on the action; millions of computers are running on Intel’s “Pentium Processor.”

The number 5 repeats often in the Human Body

The number 5 is of course, also found in several places on the human body: the five fingers of the hand and feet, the five senses (touch, taste, smell, hearing and sight), and the five members (two arms, two legs and the head.

The highest military rank a 5 star general, who wears 5, 5 pointed gold stars. So a “soldier,” or Sun warrior, wearing 5, 5pointed golden stars most certainly resonates strongly the male principle/energy.

Modern occultists believe 5 to be the Number of Death – this fits nicely with a Scorpio Moon. The greatest intensification of any number is its triplicate, making 555 literally “Highest Death.” Could this be why the highest military rank (5 star generals) wears 5, 5 pointed stars on their uniform? Also notable is the US Pentagon building which is formed of 5 concentric pentagons, with an inner court of exactly 5 acres.

Nearby, is the Washington Monument which is exactly 555 feet high.

The pentagram has long been believed to be a potent protection against evil, a symbol of conflict that shields the wearer and the home. The pentagram has five spiked wards and a womb shaped defensive, protective pentagon at the center.

But, it’s not really about evil; rather just the opposite! We are all Sun beings now, and we are meant to reclaim our innocence and to be free.  Embrace the energy of creation and protection that this celestial event delivers this evening. Remember, at Full Moon, you can observe the Moon rising in the east as the Sun sets in the West. Get out this evening, and partake of this amazing energy.

Sacred Geometry teaches that the Universe is made of 5 basic forms

May 2012 * What’s Going On * Scorpio Full Moon

Maya White - What's Going On?

Astrology is one of your best tools for problem solving. Book your personalized and professional consultation with Maya White NOW

This month we have a dynamic full moon in Scorpio on the 5th, and an energizing new moon Solar eclipse on the 20th. The May Full Moon, also known as WESAK, signals an annual celebration of the life, enlightenment, and even the death of Buddha. All over the world festivals and celebrations are held to commemorate the life of the Buddha. This Full Moon is made all the more powerful by the nearness of the Moon to the earth – when the moon is perigee, or close to the earth, we feel the impact through our emotional state. The Full Moon of May 5th is in the deep sign of Scorpio, so, hidden issues to come out and be revealed by the light of Luna.

Mercury leaves feisty Aries and settles into grounded Taurus on the 8th. In Taurus, we can expect slow and deliberate communications – this may drive some people crazy, but, it also keeps things honest and relatively transparent. Pay attention on the 13th when Mercury joins the planet of good luck, Jupiter – this is a time to expect, and receive some good news. Also, Mercury interacts with Mars on this day – this dynamic energy keeps the good things rolling along. On Monday the 14th, Mercury then forms a favorable trine to Pluto – this time period of mid may should deliver some of the good things we hoped for and that were promised by the grand earth trine that occurred in March.

Mercury travels very quickly through Taurus and enters Gemini on the 24th.  Mercury is then in the sign of his rulership – Gemini. The pace of everyday life will quicken, so take time to tie up loose ends so that you don’t feel as though you are on a never ending roller coaster by the end of May.

We also welcome a New Moon solar eclipse on the 20th – again, in the 1st degree of Gemini. Many people still have a fear or dread around eclipses. I enthusiastically encourage you to welcome the re-set that an eclipse brings. This one in Gemini is no exception – expect the unexpected, yes, but, also welcome the opportunities that come – and especially – pay attention to messages. Your deepest longings will be answered if you ask correctly. What we need at this time is truth – fact not fiction. As an air, or intellectual sign, Gemini prompts us to engage understanding and reality.

I will be sending more information on the upcoming eclipses, as well as the Venus transit of June 5th.

Another important player in the time ahead is Chiron. As he lingers at 9 degrees of Pisces, he is in constant interaction with Pluto – expect a time of healing to come for us all.  With all good blessings and wishes for the month ahead.
